I've been very impressed by a lot of the creative use of morphs in the motion design videos I've been seeing lately. This seems to be a popular new trend and it is one I can get behind -- a lot more elegant than a few years ago when every video seemed to have paint splatters in one form or another. Here are a few samples of my favorites I've seen recently (and not so recently in the case of Google Chromebook).
Most of these you can download from Vimeo and watch frame by frame to see how the artists convert shapes into new shapes. This makes the transitions feel seamless and can sometimes be more interesting than wiping or panning to a new frame.
This is a style I want to incorporate in some of my projects, so I'm putting together a practice of the top ten robots of all time. I'll give you a hint who made the list:
